The portal hums purple. Beyond it: lava seas, screaming ghasts and treasure. Only the prepared come home.

What you’ll build
Rate the Nether's biggest threats and write a Survival Code to beat the scariest ones. Pack a go-bag, lock away your valuables and relight your portal. Then make a short recon run, wall in the far-side portal and come home to debrief.
Finish line: Your danger file and Survival Code are written, and you've made it back from a five-minute recon run.
Bonus challenge: Play "What if?" with a family member: they throw a disaster at you (the portal goes out, a ghast attacks) and you answer from your Survival Code.

Stuck?
- Never place a bed in the Nether. It explodes.
- Store anything you can't bear to lose in a chest at home before you go through.
- Walling in the Nether-side portal with cobblestone gives you a safe spot to return to.
