What you’ll build
List the coordinates of your portal and a far-off landmark. Crack the Nether's secret code by dividing X and Z by eight, then step through your portal to test whether the rule holds. Leave a sign by the Nether-side portal pointing to your target.
Finish line: You've cracked the ÷ 8 code, tested it in the Nether and marked your target with a sign.
Bonus challenge: Reverse the hack: pick a spot in the Nether and multiply by 8. Where would it pop out in the Overworld? Go and check.

Stuck?
- Only divide X and Z by 8. The Y number stays the same.
- Negative numbers stay negative when you divide: −800 ÷ 8 is −100.
- Round to the nearest whole block so you have an exact spot to aim for.
