Furnish the castle and add a redstone secret that works 10 times out of 10.
A castle needs secrets. Build a hidden door or vault, then test it until it never, ever fails.
- New skill Designing a redstone feature for a build
- Level 2 · Rise of the Kingdom
- Difficulty Beginner
- Mode Survival
- Time 30–45 min
- Ages 13+
What you’ll build
Give every room in your castle a job, furnish it and light it up. Design a redstone secret, like a hidden door or lamps that switch on at night, and test it again and again. Fix any failures, hide the wiring and dare someone to find your secret.
Finish line: Your castle is furnished and lit, and your hidden secret works every time you test it.
Bonus challenge: Add a second secret that uses a logic gate from Pack 14 (two levers, a code). Does it still pass 10 out of 10?
You’ll need
- Redstone
- Sticky pistons or redstone lamps
- A daylight sensor (optional)
- Furniture blocks
- Torches or lanterns
You choose
- My secret (piston door, night lights, two-lever vault…)
- The room it guards
- Interior colour scheme
Stuck?
- Tap a daylight sensor to switch it to night mode.
- Test before you hide the wiring. It's much harder to fix once it's behind a wall.
- Redstone dust needs a solid block under it, so check none of it is floating.
