Draw a mountain's side view, then carve a real City hill to match it.
Every legendary city needs a mountain. Yours is a lumpy little hill… for now. Time to carve a giant.

What you’ll build
Draw your dream mountain as a side view, then pick a hill and carve the first slice to match it, checking every height with your Y coordinate. Grow it sideways into a wild peak, measure its steepest climb, hide a secret on top and challenge someone to a summit race.
Finish line: Your mountain matches your drawing, its steepest climb is measured and someone has raced to its summit.
Bonus challenge: Draw a second side view at right angles to the first and carve the mountain to match both. Twice as tricky, twice as epic.
You’ll need
- Stone, gravel and snow blocks
- Coloured marker blocks
- A family member to race
You choose
- Mountain name
- Style (jagged peak, terraced, volcano cone)
- Secret on top or inside (lookout, cave, flag)
Stuck?
- Heights not matching? Check your Y standing on the ground in the same way at every spot.
- Mountain looks like a wall? Shrink each copied slice towards the edges so the sides taper naturally.
- Summit too hard to walk? You can only jump up 1 block at a time, so add ledges or a winding path.
