What you’ll build
Map a tram loop with three stations and lay the track, keeping powered rails on the straights. Find how few boosters keep the tram moving, turn station rails into brakes, hide detector rails that ring an arrival alarm, then time your laps and post a timetable.
Finish line: Your tram loops through three stations that stop and start it, with arrival alarms and a posted timetable.
Bonus challenge: Add a second tram. How many seconds apart should the two leave so they're always half a lap apart?

- Rails and powered rails
- Detector rails
- Redstone torches or blocks
- A minecart
- Buttons
- A bell, lamp or note block

Stuck?
- Track won't curve? Powered rails can't turn corners, so use plain rails on the bends.
- Tram won't leave the station? Give it a push or a gentle slope once the brake rail is powered.
- Alarm silent? A detector rail only gives power while the cart is on it, so wire it straight to the alarm.
