Unleash a flood on a test street, then pit 2 defences against the water.
The dam is cracking. Water is coming. Flood a test street and find the defence that saves the City.
- New skill Controlling flowing water
- Level 3 · Dream City
- Difficulty Beginner
- Mode Creative
- Time 35–45 min
- Ages 13+
What you’ll build
Build a small test street on a slope far from your real city and release a flood to see where the water goes. Design two defences on a strict block budget, unleash the same flood on each, count the dry squares and crown the defence that saves the most.
Finish line: Your test street has survived three floods, and the winning defence is backed by squares saved and blocks spent.
Bonus challenge: Try a third idea: a channel that carries the flood into your river or the sea. Does sending water away beat stopping it?
You’ll need
- A water bucket
- An empty bucket
- Blocks for defences
- Squared paper
You choose
- My 2 defences
- Block budget for each: ___ blocks
- My bet on the winner
Stuck?
- Can't stop the flood? Scoop the source block up with an empty bucket and the flowing water drains away.
- Results unfair? Use the same release spot, one bucket and the same street for every round.
- Water spreading further than expected? It runs downhill and spreads about 7 blocks on flat ground.
