What you’ll build
Write a castaway's message and hide it on a far-off island for someone to find. Map the route, stash your message and a prize in a disguised chest, then leave a first clue back home. Hand over to your hunter and see if your clues lead them there.
Finish line: Your message is hidden on a far island and your hunter followed your clues all the way to it.
Bonus challenge: Hide a decoy chest nearby with a trick message, like "Ha! Wrong island!". Does your hunter fall for it?
You’ll need
- A chest and a prize
- Signs or a book and quill
- A family member to be the hunter
- A boat

- Hiding spot (under sand, behind a waterfall, sea cave)
- The prize beside my message
Stuck?
- No book and quill? Signs work fine for the message, and they're much easier to craft.
- Clues not working? Remember north is −Z and east is +X, and write exact coordinates.
- Hunter lost? Make sure Show Coordinates is turned on in their world settings so they can follow your numbers.
