Rescue axolotls from a lush cave, build a giant tank and breed a family.
Under the azalea roots lives a smiling pink sea monster. Catch two, breed them… and chase the 1-in-1,200 blue.

What you’ll build
Under the azalea roots lives a smiling pink sea monster. Plan a big glass tank, head down into a lush cave and scoop up two axolotls. Breed them with tropical fish, note every baby's colour and chase the legendary blue.
Finish line: Your axolotl family lives in a big glass tank and you've noted every baby's colour.
Bonus challenge: Breed 10 babies and record them all. Did a blue one show up? If not, how many more babies might it take?

Stuck?
- Can't find a lush cave? Look for an azalea tree on the surface; one often sits above it.
- Axolotl won't breed? Feed each adult a bucket of tropical fish, not raw fish.
- Keep your axolotls away from other fish: they hunt them.
