Build a hand cane farm and a piston factory, then race their harvests.
Version 1.0 is a patch you chop by hand. Version 2.0 is a piston machine. Only one can win the speed trial.

What you’ll build
Version 1.0 is a sugar cane patch you chop by hand. Version 2.0 is a piston machine with a catcher. Build both, let them grow for the same time, then race them and see which harvest wins.
Finish line: Both sugar cane farms are harvested, counted and the faster version is crowned.
Bonus challenge: Got Mission 333 nether quartz? Put an observer above one piston, facing the cane, back to the dust. Now 2.0 harvests itself!

- My catcher: water stream, hoppers or by hand
- My bet: 2.0 will be ___ times faster
Stuck?
- Cane won't plant? It needs sand or dirt right next to water.
- Drops escaping? Test your water stream or hoppers and plug any gaps in the catcher.
- Pistons breaking the bottom block? Line them up with the second block so the bottom one stays to regrow.
