Some messages hide in plain sight. Hide three so cleverly that nobody notices… until you point them out.

What you’ll build
Hold an ink tournament to find which dyed sign text is hardest to spot. Then hide three secrets in your HQ: a note in sneaky ink, a boring notice whose first letters spell a hidden message, and a sign buried under a trapdoor. Can a family member find them all?
Finish line: You've crowned the sneakiest ink and hidden three secret messages in your HQ.
Bonus challenge: Wax your signs with honeycomb so nobody can change them, then hide a fourth secret using two tricks at once.
You’ll need
- Signs in different woods
- Dyes (black, white, brown, grey)
- A trapdoor
- A family member to search

Stuck?
- To dye sign text, hold the dye and tap the sign. Each dye changes all the text on that side.
- Waxing a sign with honeycomb locks it. Only wax it once the message is right.
- Can't read your own sneaky ink? Score each sign from the same spot, 5 blocks away, so the test is fair.
