Build a coaster with a spiral, a big drop and a tunnel, then time it.
The Lab needs a ride so wild testers come off shaking. Spirals, drops, a tunnel of doom… and one big climb.

What you’ll build
Design the wildest coaster in the Lab, starting with a long climb on powered rails. Wind a spiral round a tower, plunge down a big drop and roar through a dark tunnel with a surprise inside. Then ride it, time it and work out your speed.
Finish line: Your coaster climbs, spirals, drops and screams through a tunnel, and you know its speed in blocks per second.
Bonus challenge: The Penny Pincher challenge: remove powered rails one at a time. What's the fewest that still gets the cart all the way round, 3 rides out of 3?

- Redstone torches or blocks
- A minecart
- Note block or lamp

Stuck?
- Cart stalls on a climb? Powered rails only boost when they have power from a torch or redstone block.
- Unpowered powered rails act as brakes, so check every one on the climb is lit up.
- Minecarts can't go upside down, so wind your loop around a tower as a spiral.
