What you’ll build
Build an Olympic arena with a podium, a torch and a scoreboard, then put machines through five events: speed, fewest parts, reliability, ease of use and wow. Add up the scores, award gold, silver and bronze, and a prize for the funniest fail.
Finish line: Your Invention Olympics is done, the score sheet is complete and the medals are on the podium.
Bonus challenge: Add a sixth event that someone else invents. Does it change who wins gold?
