What you’ll build
Your first test hop goes wrong, so build a smoking wreck somewhere wild and far from spawn. Then race the timer to put up a shelter with a roof, door, bed and light, using only the blocks you can see from the crash site and bits of wreck.
Finish line: Your wreck is smoking and your shelter stands finished, built only from local blocks before the timer rang.
Bonus challenge: Crash again in a totally different biome and build a second shelter with its local blocks. Put them side by side in your mind: what changed and why?
You’ll need
- A 15-minute timer
- A campfire
- A bed
- A door
- A hay bale (if nearby)
You choose
- My crash site (forest, desert, snow, swamp…)
- My shelter's name
- My plan: dig in, build up, or hide under the wreck
Stuck?
- Bed won't go down? It needs two free floor blocks side by side, with nothing blocking the space above.
- A door needs two free blocks of height, so leave a doorway at least 2 blocks tall.
- For a tall signal fire, put the campfire on top of a hay bale. The smoke rises much higher.
