Build a Nile flood farm, flood it, drain it and plant the rich black land.
Every summer the river rises and swallows the fields. Panic? No. The flood is the secret to the best harvest.

What you’ll build
Dig your own Nile beside the pyramid and build flood basins on its bank. Flood them, drain them with sponges and lay rich new soil, then plant, build a shadoof and harvest enough grain to fill a granary for your kingdom.
Finish line: Your four basins have flooded, drained and grown, with a shadoof standing by and a full granary.
Bonus challenge: Build a Nilometer: steps down into the river with a mark every block. Decide which flood height means a great harvest and which means danger.

Stuck?
- Crops popping off? Flowing water breaks crops, so never plant until the flood is cleared.
- Sponges full? A wet sponge stops soaking. Use fresh ones, or dry them in a furnace.
- One water block in the centre keeps farmland wet up to 4 blocks away.
