Design and build a half-size Sphinx-style guardian with a head you invent.
Something huge should guard your pyramid. A lion's body, a head you design and a stare that stops robbers.

What you’ll build
Sketch a giant lion-bodied guardian to scale, mark its outline in the sand and build the body layer by layer. Then sculpt a head of your own design, weather the stone so it looks ancient and light it up to guard your pyramid at night.
Finish line: Your half-size guardian stands in front of the pyramid with an original head, checked against real proportions.
Bonus challenge: Build a mirror-image twin guardian on the other side of the path. Then hide a secret lever in one paw that lights them both up.

- Sandstone stairs and slabs
- Cut and chiselled sandstone
- Squared paper

Stuck?
- Losing the shape? Check your side view after every layer and count blocks from the outline.
- Curves looking blocky? Use stairs and slabs at the edges to smooth them out.
- Fly all the way round before you finish. It's easy to miss a gap on the far side.
