Build a 15-wide octagon dome hall, every block resting on the ring below.
Florence's builders raised a giant dome with no full wooden frame under it. Your rule: no helper blocks. Ever.

What you’ll build
Lay an octagon floor, raise its walls and then follow the Renaissance rule: build the dome ring by ring, with every block resting on the one below and no helper blocks at all. Finish with a zigzag brick band and a glowing lantern on top.
Finish line: Your octagon dome hall closes at the top with no helper blocks, a herringbone band and a glowing lantern.
Bonus challenge: Build a 5-wide mini dome next door with the same rule. How many rings does it need? Is it about a third of the big one's count?

Stuck?

- Dome closing too fast? Step each ring in by just one block, or every other ring on gentler parts.
- Octagon looking uneven? Copy your plan: straight sides are 7 blocks, diagonals 4 steps.
