The time machine coughs you out in 1830. Smoke, whistles, steel rails… and a race to build the fastest line.

What you’ll build
Land in 1830 and build a railway station with a platform, ticket hut and big clock. Make a launch pad that fires a minecart off with a button, lay a long powered line to a far station, then time three runs and find your true record.
Finish line: Your station launches a cart down a 100-block line, with three timed runs and a true record.
Bonus challenge: Build a second line beside the first with fewer powered rails. Race both carts at once. How few can you get away with?

- Powered rails
- Redstone torches or blocks
- A button

You choose
- My railway company's name
- Station style: brick and iron, or wood and stone

Stuck?
- Cart stalling? Powered rails need power: put a redstone torch beside them or a block of redstone under them.
- Launch pad not firing? The powered rail must sit against a solid block, with the cart on top.
- Still slowing down? Add more powered rails along the line until it never stops.
