Build a Nether portal frame with obsidian and light it up.

What you’ll build
Build the gateway to another world. You'll gather obsidian, make flint and steel, and build a portal frame block by block to the exact shape. Light it, watch the purple swirl appear and decorate around it, but don't step through yet!
Finish line: Your lit purple portal has a frame you built yourself, decorated and ready.
Bonus challenge: Try a bigger portal frame. Does it still work?
You’ll need
- Obsidian
- Flint and steel
- Diamond pickaxe
- Decoration blocks

- The portal's name for its sign
Stuck?
- Portal won't light? The frame must be a complete rectangle with an empty space inside.
- Obsidian needs a diamond pickaxe to mine. Creative is fine if you don't have one.
- Light it by tapping the inside of the bottom of the frame with flint and steel.
