Find a Nether fortress with a parent or experienced player and map it.
Somewhere in the red dark stands a castle of black brick. Skeletons guard it. Treasure waits inside.

What you’ll build
Team up with a family member or friend and head out from your hub, dropping torch-topped marker pillars as you go. Find the dark-brick fortress, map its bridges and gardens, deal with wither skeletons together and raid your first chest.
Finish line: Your marker trail leads to the fortress, its coordinates are on your map and you've looted your first chest.
Bonus challenge: Find the fortress's highest bridge and write its coordinates on a sign back at the hub, plus a warning about what guards it.

Stuck?
- Compasses don't work in the Nether. Your marker pillars and written coordinates are your way home.
- Wither skeletons are tall and black. Their hits drain your health, so fight them together and eat often.
- Build a quick wall when crossing lava bridges, so mobs can't knock you off.
