Shield the portal path, deflect ghast fireballs and try for a ghast tear.
The ghasts have found your portal. They scream, they fire, they switch it off. Time to hit back.

What you’ll build
Map where ghasts attack your hub and build cobblestone shields with small windows along the open path. Then take on the ghasts: hit their fireballs back at them, score your deflects and shoot for a ghast tear.
Finish line: Your portal path is shielded, your ten deflects are scored and, with luck, you've won a ghast tear.
Bonus challenge: Got a ghast tear? Brew Regeneration: awkward potion + ghast tear. Then try to knock a ghast out with its own fireball.
You’ll need
- A bow and arrows
- Cobblestone

Stuck?
- Hit the fireball just before it reaches you. Swing too early and it keeps coming.
- Ghasts often hover over lava, so tears can be lost. Try to fight them over solid ground.
- A blast can switch off your portal. Relight it with flint and steel.
