What you’ll build
Sketch and build a hopper-fed smelter with chests for ore in, fuel in and ingots out, then test it and walk away while it works. Copy the machine side by side to build a mega smelter and race four furnaces against one.
Finish line: Your four-furnace auto smelter works and you've got a timed race with a clear winner.
Bonus challenge: Build a blast furnace version (5 iron, a furnace, 3 smooth stone). It smelts ore twice as fast. Race it against your record!

Stuck?
- A hopper feeds into the block you place it against. Sneak while placing so it attaches instead of opening.
- Top hopper loads items, side hopper loads fuel and the bottom hopper pulls the ingots out.
- Nothing moving? Check each hopper's spout points at the right block and the furnace has fuel.
