Glide from three heights, find your glide ratio and predict a mega-jump.
Jump from 20 blocks up, then 40, then 80. No rockets. Can you predict where you'll land before you jump?

What you’ll build
Build launch platforms at three heights over the sea, then glide from each one without rockets and note where you land. Work out your glide ratio, use it to predict a mega-jump landing and see how close you get.
Finish line: Your glide ratio is worked out and your mega-jump landed close to the spot you predicted.
Bonus challenge: Challenge someone: they pick any height, you predict the landing, then fly it. Within 10% of your prediction wins.
You’ll need
- Elytra
- Blocks for launch platforms
- A glowing block for a target

Stuck?
- Glide over water so a rough landing doesn't hurt.
- Keep the same steady angle every run. Diving or climbing changes your distance.
- Note your launch and landing coordinates straight away, before you swim off.
