Race back to your first Odyssey island and turn it into a castaway shrine.
Remember the tiny island where it all began? It's still out there: one tree, lots of ocean. Time to go back.

What you’ll build
Head back to your first Odyssey island and race there twice: once by boat, then by elytra if you have wings. Take a 'then' shot of the island before you touch it, then add a plank deck border, a castaway shrine and a lighthouse that glows at dusk.
Finish line: Your first island has a deck border, a castaway shrine and a lit lighthouse, with then-and-now shots.
Bonus challenge: Leave a chest on the beach with a message for whoever lands here next. What advice would you give a new castaway?
You’ll need
- A boat
- Elytra and firework rockets
- Planks
- Light blocks
- A sign
- A stopwatch
You choose
- My castaway shrine's name
- My upgrade: a lighthouse, a dock or a castaway museum
- My bet: elytra will be ___ times faster than the boat
Stuck?
- To glide, jump off something high, then jump again in mid-air to open the elytra.
- Elytra wear out, so check their durability and bring spare rockets for long flights.
- Easy nights still bring drowned, so finish before dark or build a shelter.
