Build a sorted vault with a secret button door, then survive a heist.
Every ruler needs a vault. Yours gets sorted loot, an iron door and a wall of buttons. Only one is real.
- New skill Iron doors, buttons and labelled chests
- Level 2 · Rise of the Kingdom
- Difficulty Beginner
- Mode Survival
- Time 35–45 min
- Ages 13+
What you’ll build
Sort all your loot into clear categories and build a vault with a labelled chest wall. Fit an iron door that only opens with a hidden button, add decoy buttons to fool thieves, and post a vault key. Then let a family member try a timed heist.
Finish line: Your loot is sorted and labelled behind a secret button door, and you've seen how a thief copes with it.
Bonus challenge: Colour-code each category with a different wool block or banner above its chests. Then run the heist again. Was the thief faster?
You’ll need
- Planks for chests
- 6 iron ingots for an iron door
- Buttons
- Signs
- A family member as the thief
You choose
- My vault's name
- My 5–8 loot categories
- Where the real button hides
Stuck?
- Iron doors won't open by tapping. They need redstone power, like a button on a block right beside the door.
- If the real button doesn't work, check it's on a block touching the door, not one block further away.
- Keep labels short and clear: a stranger should know what's in each chest at a glance.
For grown-ups
