Turn a plain patch of grass into a colourful flower garden.
- New skill Growing flowers with bone meal
- Level 1 · The Village
- Difficulty Beginner
- Mode Creative
- Time 30–40 min
- Ages 13+
What you’ll build
Turn a plain patch of grass into a garden full of colour. You'll lay a path, try bone meal on the grass to see what pops up, then plant flowers in rows and patterns that match your colour theme. Add a centrepiece and give a family member a guided tour.
Finish line: Your garden has a path, at least three kinds of flowers and one centrepiece.
Bonus challenge: Make a flower pattern like a heart or your first initial. Draw it on the grid first!
You’ll need
- Bone meal
- Flowers
- Path blocks
- A centrepiece (fountain, tree, statue)
- A family member for the tour
You choose
- Colour theme (rainbow, pink and white…)
- Garden shape and paths
- One special centrepiece: fountain, tree, statue…
Stuck?
- Only a few kinds of flower growing? It depends on the area, so grab the rest from the Creative inventory.
- Flowers need grass or dirt underneath. They won't go on stone or path blocks.
- Bone meal on the grass also grows tall grass. Break any you don't want to keep the rows neat.
For grown-ups
