Hide a prize and lay a 5-clue sign trail a family hunter can follow.
Hide a royal prize at the far edge of the Kingdom and leave a trail of clues. Can your family track it down?

What you’ll build
Plan a trail of clue stops and hide a prize chest at the end. Build a map board at the start, then place sign clues using directions, distances and riddles. Walk the trail yourself to check it, then time a family hunter as they follow it in silence.
Finish line: Your hunter has followed the trail to the prize, and any confusing clues have been fixed.
Bonus challenge: Swap roles: your hunter hides a prize and lays 3 clues for you. Whose trail gets solved faster?
You’ll need
- A chest and a prize
- Signs
- A map and an item frame
- A family member as the hunter
- A timer
You choose
- The prize in the chest
- Where the trail starts (your hub)
- Clue style (directions, riddles or both)
Stuck?
- North is negative Z and east is positive X. Double-check every direction clue.
- A map only fills in where someone has walked holding it, so explore the route first.
- Walk the whole trail yourself before the hunt to catch any wrong clues.
