Throw eyes from two far-apart spots and pinpoint the hidden gate on a map.
One eye shows the way but not how far. Two throws from two places? Now the gate has nowhere to hide.

What you’ll build
Throw an eye of ender from one spot, note where it drops, then travel well to the side and throw again. Plot both lines on a grid and find where they cross: that's the hidden gate. Test your answer by throwing one more eye nearby.
Finish line: You've pinpointed the hidden gate on your map, and a final throw backs up your answer.
Bonus challenge: Throw from a Point C. Does your third line pass through your X? A three-way crossing is pro-level tracking.
You’ll need
- 3–4 eyes of ender
- A ruler
- Food
- A bed
- Torches

Stuck?
- Eyes sometimes shatter, so bring spares and grab any that drop.
- Travel a few hundred blocks sideways before the second throw. Too close and the lines barely cross.
- Use a ruler to extend each line on paper so the crossing point is accurate.
