Carve a secret cliff home with at least half its floor inside the rock.
Halfway up a sheer cliff, hidden in the rock, is a hideaway nobody can find. Unless you show them.

What you’ll build
Find a tall cliff and carve a secret home into the rock, with more than half its floor hidden inside. Disguise the outside in natural rock layers, hide the entrance behind a waterfall, vines or a fake wall, add a daring lookout, then see if anyone can find the way in.
Finish line: Your cliff hideaway is mostly inside the rock, with a hidden entrance and a lookout hanging over the drop.
Bonus challenge: Add a secret stairway down the cliff face. Measure its slope as rise over run and keep it at 1 or less (45°).
You’ll need
- Stone and other rock blocks
- Vines or water
- Deck blocks for the lookout
- A family member to seek

- Hideaway name
- Secret entrance (waterfall, vines, fake rock wall)
- What sticks out (lookout, deck, diving board)
Stuck?
- Vines won't stick? They need a solid block behind them.
- Not enough inside the rock? Measure both floor areas; if less than half is inside, carve deeper.
- Entrance easy to spot? Match the blocks around it to the cliff and avoid neat, straight edges.
