What you’ll build
Time to build your own home. You'll measure out a 5×5 floor, mark the corners, fill it in and count it. Then raise the walls, add windows and a flat roof, and furnish it with a door, a bed and your favourite touches.
Finish line: You have a 5×5 house with a door, a window and a bed, and you can explain why you laid it out that way.
Bonus challenge: Add a second room or a front porch. How many extra floor blocks did that take?

Stuck?
- Counting gets muddled? Put a different coloured block on each corner first, then count between them.
- Doors need two free blocks of space, so leave a gap two blocks tall in the wall.
- Can't place the bed? Beds need two blocks of floor in a row, so try turning to face a different way.
