Build a cursed tomb with a riddle door and a harmless curse for a rival.
Every explorer who opened the tomb was cursed. Now build your own… and dare someone brave enough to enter.
- New skill Building a redstone riddle door
- Level 5 · Mysteries & Monsters
- Difficulty Intermediate
- Mode Survival
- Time 45–60 min
- Ages 13+
What you’ll build
Build a creepy sandstone tomb with a long corridor and a sealed iron door at the end. Wire three levers under riddle signs: one opens the tomb, the other two trigger harmless curses like a wailing note block or lights going dark. Hide every wire, then dare a challenger to pick the right lever.
Finish line: Your cursed tomb opens only with the right answer, and every wrong lever triggers a curse.
Bonus challenge: Upgrade the lock so two levers must be on and the third off to open the door. How many patterns could a guesser try, and how many open it?
You’ll need
- Sandstone
- An iron door
- Redstone dust
- 3 levers
- Note blocks
- Trapdoors
You choose
- The mummy's name
- The curse: lights out, a wail, a sudden pit or
- My challenger
Stuck?
- Iron doors only open with redstone. Make sure the true lever's line reaches the door itself.
- Hiding wires under the floor? Redstone dust still needs a solid block under it.
- A note block won't sound with a block on top of it. Leave the space above it empty.
For grown-ups
