Explore an abandoned mineshaft, rescue the chest minecarts and get out.
The explorer's supply carts vanished in an old mineshaft. Webs, broken rails… and something with red eyes.

What you’ll build
Find an abandoned mineshaft deep underground, note where its entrance is and head in with an experienced player. Light the tunnels as you go, cut through cobwebs and hunt for chest minecarts full of lost supplies. Log each one before you loot it, then follow your torches safely home.
Finish line: You've explored a mineshaft, rescued the chest minecarts and made it home with a coordinate log.
Bonus challenge: Collect cobwebs with shears for your other spooky builds, and rebuild a short piece of rail so you can ride a minecart out in style.
You’ll need
- Torches
- A sword
- Shears

- A milk bucket
- An experienced player

Stuck?
- Place torches on one side going in, so they're on the other side on your way out.
- Cave spiders poison you. Drinking milk cures it, so keep a bucket ready.
- Cobwebs slow you right down. Cut them with a sword or shears instead of walking into them.
