What you’ll build
Build two matching race lanes with start lights that count down 3, 2, 1 using timed repeaters, then launch both carts at once. Finish bulbs flip on as each cart crosses the line. Then hold a design duel to see whose track is faster.
Finish line: Your Grand Prix has start lights, finish bulbs and a design-duel winner with the true record.
Bonus challenge: Photo finish: whichever lane's bulb lights first locks out the other. Try it with redstone, then race the tightest finish you can.

Stuck?
- Finish bulbs stay lit after a race. Copper bulbs flip on each pulse, so add a reset button.
- Lights too fast or slow? Tap the repeaters: each tap adds a tenth of a second.
- Carts not launching together? The last light's line must power both launch rails at once.
