What you’ll build
Time your boat to find its true speed, then switch your coordinates off and sail toward a secret marker using only the sun and a stopwatch. When time's up, check how close you got, then find the marker and claim it.
Finish line: You know your true boat speed, you've sailed by the sun alone and you know exactly how far off you were.
Bonus challenge: Try a night voyage steering by the moon instead. Did you get closer or further away? What made it harder?

- Lost your bearings? The sun rises in the east and sets in the west, so face it to steer.
- Speed trials uneven? Row in a dead-straight line and start and stop the timer exactly the same way.
