Build a glowing raised hover-train line between two stations and time it.
The city of 2126 needs a train that seems to float. Build a glowing track in the sky, then race the clock.

What you’ll build
Work out the distance between two stations from their coordinates, then build a slim raised track on pillars with hidden lights underneath so it seems to hover. Lay powered rails, build both stations and time your runs to find your speed.
Finish line: Your hover-train glides between two stations, and you've timed it and worked out its speed.
Bonus challenge: Time two versions: powered rails close together vs far apart. Which is faster, and how many powered rails do you really need?

- Rails
- Powered rails
- Redstone blocks or torches
- A minecart
- Glowing blocks
- A stopwatch
You choose
- My line's name and colours
- My route (city to Mars base, or a loop)

Stuck?
- Cart slowing down? Add more powered rails, each with a redstone block or torch beside it.
- Cart won't leave the station? Put the first powered rail against a solid block with a button beside it.
- Track hard to keep straight? Keep one coordinate the same along each straight section.
