Build a king-of-the-hill arena with a glowing crown and three routes up.
One glowing crown on the hilltop. Stand on it to score. Everyone else wants you gone. Hold on, Your Majesty.

What you’ll build
Build a stepped hill with three routes up, easy to tricky, and a glowing crown on top that lights when someone stands on it. Players defend the crown with snowballs, and the first to hold it for a full minute wins.
Finish line: Your hill has a glowing crown, three routes, three rounds played and crown times on the score sheet.
Bonus challenge: Build a second, smaller hill where crown time counts half. Does the game spread out and get more exciting, or just confusing?
You’ll need
- A redstone lamp
- A stone pressure plate
- Gold blocks
- Snowballs
- A stopwatch
You choose
- My hill's name
- The 3 routes up (stairs, ladder, parkour, your own)
- Hits before the king steps down: 3 or 5?
Stuck?
- Use a stone pressure plate. Wooden ones can be set off by snowballs and arrows too.
- Lamp not glowing? The pressure plate must sit directly on top of the lamp.
- Everyone must be in Survival, or the crown holder can just fly away.
