Lava is the deadliest thing in the deep. Beat it at its own game and turn a lava lake into obsidian.

What you’ll build
Run through your lava safety rules, stash your best loot at home, then wall off any flowing lava and scoop a bucket for fuel. Pour water over the pool to turn it into obsidian, mine it out with your diamond pickaxe and count your haul.
Finish line: Your lava pool is now obsidian, the blocks are mined and stored, and you've got a lava bucket for fuel.
Bonus challenge: Build an obsidian trophy pillar at your base with a sign: "Lava ___, Me 1". Then find a second pool and reach 14 obsidian.

Stuck?
- Water on still lava makes obsidian; on flowing lava it makes cobblestone. Block the flowing bits first.
- Don't stand on the obsidian you're mining. There may be more lava underneath.
- Obsidian needs a diamond pickaxe. Anything weaker breaks it and gives you nothing.
