Throw eyes from two spots, cross the lines on a map, then dig down.
An eye flies off and sinks into the hills. Throw from two places, cross the lines, and X marks the stronghold.

What you’ll build
Throw an eye of ender from two different spots, plot both lines on a scale map and find where they cross. Travel to that point, dig a safe staircase down into the stronghold and light up the portal room.
Finish line: Your scale map shows two throw lines crossing, and the stronghold's portal room is lit and signposted.
Bonus challenge: The secret shortcut hack: straight-line distance = √(east² + south²). Compare it with the real distance you travelled around hills and lakes.

- Torches
- Food
- A spare pickaxe
- A ruler
You choose
- The stronghold's codename
- My throw spot names: ____________ and
- My bet: blocks from base to the stronghold
Stuck?
- Write down your X and Z before each throw and again after walking the way it flew.
- Make your two throw spots far apart. Lines that are too close together cross at a fuzzy point.
- Dig a staircase down, never straight down, and break the silverfish spawner in the portal room.
