Board the End ship, beat its guards and claim the elytra from the wall.
A ghost ship hangs off the city, and on its back wall hang a pair of wings. Guarded. Of course.
- New skill Getting elytra from an End ship
- Level 9 · Ultimate Survival
- Difficulty Advanced
- Mode Survival
- Time 30–60 min
- Ages 13+
What you’ll build
Bridge from the End city to the floating ship and clear its shulker guards. Claim the elytra from the item frame in the back room, grab the dragon head and other loot, then take your first glide from a tall tower over solid ground.
Finish line: You've got the elytra on, the dragon head claimed and your first glide ended in a safe landing.
Bonus challenge: Mount the dragon head over your front door like a trophy. Then repair worn elytra with phantom membrane at an anvil, or enchant them with Mending.
You’ll need
- Blocks to bridge
- Milk buckets
- Food
- Slow Falling potions
- A family member or friend
You choose
- My wings' name
- Who boards first
- My first-flight landing spot
Stuck?
- Elytra go in your chest slot. Jump, then jump again in midair to open your wings.
- Tilt up slightly to slow down and down to speed up. Never fly straight into a wall.
- Hit the item frame to drop the elytra, then pick them up straight away.
For grown-ups
