Build a minecart coaster with a station, a big drop, a tunnel and boosts.
Steep drops, a pitch-black tunnel and a turn over the lake. Build the ride guests will scream about all week.

What you’ll build
Build a minecart coaster with a launch station, a lift hill, a big drop, a dark tunnel and a sharp turn over the lake. Ride it, spot where the cart slows, and add boosts only where they're needed. Then measure the track, time some rides and work out its real speed.
Finish line: Your coaster launches, climbs, drops and races through its tunnel, with a timed top speed on the queue sign.
Bonus challenge: Add detector rails at a photo spot that flash lamps as the cart flies past. Can you time the flash to hit right at the bottom of the drop?

Stuck?
- Unpowered powered rails act as brakes. Keep a redstone torch or block of redstone near every run of them.
- Cart stalls on the lift hill? Steep climbs need powered rails the whole way up.
- Place the button beside the station's powered rail so one tap launches the cart.
