Craft fireworks in your own colours and shapes, then put on a show.

What you’ll build
Design your own fireworks. You'll plan the colours, shapes and order of your show, then craft firework stars and turn them into rockets. Test one, and when it gets dark, launch them in order for the big show.
Finish line: You launched at least three fireworks you crafted yourself in a planned show.
Bonus challenge: Make a firework that changes colour: put a finished star in the crafting grid with a second dye to add a fade.
You’ll need
- Crafting table
- Gunpowder
- Paper
- Dyes
- Shape extras (gold nugget, feather)
You choose
- Colours for each firework
- Shapes (ball, star, burst…)
- Show order
Stuck?
- Launch by holding a rocket and tapping the ground.
- Want them higher? Add more gunpowder to the rocket.
- Colours look faint? Wait for night. Fireworks look best against a dark sky.
