Plan 3 floors (throne room included), work out the space, build the keep.
Every ruler needs a tower to rule from. Three floors, one throne room, and at least one secret.
- New skill Building multiple storeys to plan
- Level 2 · Rise of the Kingdom
- Difficulty Beginner
- Mode Survival
- Time 35–45 min
- Ages 13+
What you’ll build
Draw a floor plan for each level of your royal keep and give every floor a job. Work out the space on each floor and where the stairs should go so they don't spoil the throne room. Then build up floor by floor and close the roof.
Finish line: Your three-storey keep stands with a throne room, stairs that work and a roof on top.
Bonus challenge: Add windows on every floor so the ruler can spy on every side of the castle from the top.
You’ll need
- Lots of wall blocks
- Stairs or ladders
- A calculator
You choose
- Keep size (outside): ___ × ___ blocks
- Each floor's job (throne room, armoury…)
- My secret (hidden room, escape hatch, vault)
Stuck?
- Leave the stair hole as you build each floor, or you'll be digging it out later.
- Short on blocks? Finish the throne room floor and frame the rest. That's a smart call, not a failure.
- Light every floor as you go so nothing spawns inside.
