Tunnel a gentle road through a mountain, with a hidden room inside.
A mountain blocks the way. Going around takes forever. Going through it, with a secret room inside? Yes.

What you’ll build
Pick two entrances on either side of a mountain and check the climb isn't too steep. Dig a wide tunnel that rises in gentle, even steps, light it well, hide a secret room halfway with a disguised door, and build a grand portal at each end before driving it.
Finish line: Your lit tunnel runs through the mountain at a gentle slope, with a portal at each end and a hidden room.
Bonus challenge: Real railways rarely climb more than about 2 %. How long would a rail tunnel need to be to climb the same height as yours?

Stuck?
- Too steep? For every 1 block up you need 12 blocks along, so long climbs need long tunnels or an outside ramp.
- Dark patches? Light drops by 1 for every block from its source, so space your lights closely and evenly.
- Ramp bumpy? Slabs let you rise half a block at a time for a smooth slope.
