Build a mirrored hedge maze garden with a treasure hidden at its heart.
At the heart of the royal garden sits a treasure. Between you and it: a perfectly mirrored hedge maze.

What you’ll build
Draw a square maze garden with at least two mirror lines, then mark the centre and build one quarter with tall hedges, paths and sneaky dead ends. Mirror it into every quarter, hide a treasure at the heart and time a family member racing to reach it.
Finish line: Your maze garden is mirrored perfectly, a treasure waits at its heart and the race time is in.
Bonus challenge: Add a secret shortcut (mirrored, of course) that only you know about. Can you beat your racer's time by half?
You’ll need
- Leaves for hedges
- Coloured marker blocks
- A fountain, statue or chest
- Flowers
- A timer
You choose
- Garden name
- Lines of symmetry (2 or 4)
- Treasure at the heart (fountain, statue, chest)
Stuck?
- Mirroring mix-up? A hedge 3 blocks east of the centre needs a twin 3 blocks west. Always count from the centre.
- Racers hopping over? Make hedges at least 2 blocks high so nobody can jump them.
- Mistakes hard to spot? Fly up high and look straight down at the whole pattern.
