Build a rocket lift and a plunge lift in a tower, then race the clock.
Stairs are for the slow. Build a bubble rocket that blasts you to the roof and a tube that drags you down.

What you’ll build
Build two glass lift tubes in a tall tower: one with soul sand that rockets you up and one with a magma block that drags you down. Set fair race rules, ride each lift three times against the clock, then work out the speed and crown the champion.
Finish line: Your rocket lift and plunge lift are timed three times each, and the champion is crowned in metres per second.
Bonus challenge: Build a rocket lift twice as tall and race it. Does double the height mean double the time? Prove it.

Stuck?
- Lift not working? Every block in the tube must be a water source. One gap or flowing block breaks the column.
- Not moving in the tube? Stop flying before you jump in.
- Water spilling out? Put a door at every entrance and exit to hold it in.
