Bury a treasure chest, scramble its coordinates and send a hunter.
Bury a chest of treasure. Write its location in code. Only someone with the secret key can dig it up.

What you’ll build
Bury a treasure chest and note its exact position. Pick a secret number key, add it to every coordinate and post the coded version on a sign at HQ, with the key hidden in a riddle. A family member cracks the riddle, works out the real spot and digs, but will they hit the treasure?
Finish line: Your treasure is buried, your coded sign is posted and the hunter's answer has been checked.
Bonus challenge: Use a different key for X and Z, and hide the second key in another riddle. Can the hunter still find it?

Stuck?
- Show Coordinates is a world setting. Make sure it's on before you note the burial spot.
- Watch the minus signs: adding 17 to −40 gives −23, not −57. Double-check every number.
- Dig straight down carefully at the spot and don't stand on the hole you're digging into.
