What you’ll build
Invent a spy flag code. Pick eight words a detective might need, craft a loom and design a bold banner for each one, then draw them all in a secret code book. Build a signal tower somewhere high and fly a message for a family member to read from far away.
Finish line: Your signal tower flies a three-banner message, and your code book holds all eight banners.
Bonus challenge: Add 2 banners that mean 'ignore the next flag' and 'read backwards'. Send a tricky message and see who cracks it first.

- String and planks for a loom

Stuck?
- A banner is 6 wool and a stick. Put a banner and a dye in the loom to add a pattern.
- Banners hard to tell apart from far away? Use bold, high-contrast colours and simple patterns.
- Build the tower in daylight and light the top so mobs don't spawn on the deck.
