Design a lost alphabet, build a giant code wall and hide a message in it.
The ruins are covered in symbols nobody can read. Invent the alphabet and dare anyone to crack it.

What you’ll build
Invent a lost alphabet of pixel glyphs, each a small pattern of dark and light blocks. Build a giant code wall with a key phrase in signs on top and the same phrase in glyphs beneath. Then carve a secret message in glyphs alone and challenge a family member to crack it.
Finish line: Your glyph wall shows a key phrase and a secret message waiting to be cracked.
Bonus challenge: Add 5 new glyphs and a second message only your family can read. How many more words can your alphabet make now?

Stuck?
- Pick two blocks that contrast strongly, like white and dark terracotta, so every glyph is easy to read.
- Glyphs blurring together? Leave a one-block gap between letters and between words.
- Codebreaker stuck? The glyph that appears most is probably E. Codebreakers really use that trick.
