What you’ll build
Build a giant elimination grid on the floor of HQ, comparing suspects, places and times. Apply your clues one at a time, swapping each impossible square to your ruled-out colour until only one square is left in a row. Then climb up high to see how many possible stories are left.
Finish line: Your floor grid has every clue applied, and you know how many stories are still possible.
Bonus challenge: Cover one square with carpet. If your Mystery Maker points at it and you can't explain why it's that colour, they win a bonus clue for the thief!

- White wool or concrete
- Two contrasting colours

Stuck?
- Label every row and column with a sign before you start, or the grid gets confusing fast.
- Apply one clue at a time and double-check it before you swap any blocks.
- Grid stuck? Ask your Mystery Maker for one extra clue that's true.
