For thousands of years, people followed their food. Then someone planted a seed… and stayed.

What you’ll build
Mark out a square field with one water block in the centre, till it and plant wheat everywhere. Grow and harvest your first crop, lure sheep into a pen as your first flock, and bake bread to see how farming changed history.
Finish line: Your 9×9 wheat field is harvested, your sheep are penned and you've baked a stack of bread.
Bonus challenge: Build a second field the same size. How many people could your two fields feed for a whole Minecraft week (7 days)?

You choose
- My farm village's name
- My bet: crops kept wet by ONE water block
- My first sheep's name
Stuck?
- Farmland drying out? Water keeps soil wet up to 4 blocks away, so the centre block reaches a 9×9 field.
- Don't jump on farmland! It turns back into dirt and pops the crops.
- Sheep not following? Hold wheat in your hand and walk slowly toward the pen.
