Build a canal city of islands, palaces and bridges, then race gondolas.
A city with no roads, just water. Palaces at the edge, boats for taxis and a race down the grand canal.

What you’ll build
Dig a winding grand canal with side canals that split the land into islands, then build palaces right at the water's edge. Add bridges high enough to row under, a grand stone landmark bridge and a market square, then race gondolas.
Finish line: Your canal city has islands, palaces and bridges, and a gondola race down the grand canal.
Bonus challenge: Add a water taxi stop at every island and a map sign showing the fastest route between the two farthest palaces.

You choose

- Race rule (a penalty for bumps?)
Stuck?
- Boat hitting bridges? Leave at least 2 blocks of air above the water, then test each one by rowing under.
- Canal water flowing? Fill it with source blocks so it stays still and level.
- Boat stuck on a corner? Make turns wider, or use a 3-block-wide canal all the way.
